David who was originally a dairy farmer in Wales will now supply 230 retailers with Card Connection’s extensive range of quality greetings cards and accessories from the couple’s new Abergavenny base.

“I have enjoyed running the Bath Card Connection territory for five years,” confirms David Rabaiotti. “However, when the Newport/South Wales region became available I was keen to take on the larger franchise! I will employ two new part-time helpers to prepare the boxes of greetings cards ready for delivery and my wife Helen will also become much more involved in the business.

“However, this now means the Bath area is for sale and it is a great business for someone looking for a full time franchise in this established sector,” explains David. “The Bath territory is a fairly compact region covering the city, surrounding towns/villages and parts of Dorset. I have been able to improve the franchise since purchase and sales were up 4% in the past year and yet there are always further opportunities to develop the business for the right enthusiastic person!

“The great thing about franchising is that no direct experience is necessary,” continues David. “I come from a farming background and my wife ran a post office and yet with the right training and support from Card Connection we are proof that any motivated individual or couple can succeed!”
