Card Connection’s New Super Platinum Scheme ‘Makes a Difference’

Leading greeting card publisher, Card Connection has announced it has awarded five of its top performing franchisees ‘Super Platinum’ status. Joe Sweeney, Simon Linscheid, Tony Lees and Gabriel McGeown, all based in Ireland, and Latif Twigeri from Surrey / Hampshire have all been deemed ‘Super Platinum,’ which means that the future growth of their respective franchises is rewarded with access to more generous incentive bonuses.

new Super Platinum scheme rewards franchisees who reach a specified turnover threshold,” explains Michael Johnson, managing director, Card Connection. “We wanted to ‘make a difference’ to our leading franchisees and to recognise the hard work and effort they put in. Under the new scheme, ‘Super Platinum’ franchisees receive bonus payments in-line with the growth of their businesses.

“Despite some particularly tough economic times in Ireland lately, our franchisees from that region are the forerunners of our network,” confirms Johnson. “However, we also have several other franchisees in the UK coming close and our staff will be on-hand to try and help them achieve this goal, so they too can claim the additional bonuses on offer.

“As a company, we aim to ‘make a difference’ for franchisees, retail customers and our own staff alike, on a daily basis,” confirms Johnson. “The new Super Platinum scheme is an innovative example of this philosophy in practice and we will be proud to assist other franchisees to attain this status.”

Card Connection is one of the UK’s largest card publishers and is the market leader in the franchised distribution of greeting cards. The business’ unique model of consignment sales has resulted in a strong brand and established reputation which has been proven over many years and in 2013 Card Connection celebrated its 21st year in operation as a franchisor. Through its franchisees Card Connection supplies about 12,000 retailers throughout the UK.
