Ed’s Garden Maintenance Celebrates Spring Growth with New Franchisees

Ed Mauleverer news-1

Franchisor Edward Mauleverer said, “Since launching in 2007 we have worked hard to put the right infrastructure in place. Recruiting the first ten was difficult; the next milestone was going from twenty to thirty operators as we transitioned to become a medium-sized business. Our next goal is to reach 100 operators and to become the garden maintenance company of choice in the UK.”

“The key to steady growth has been to listen. We constantly benchmark our operators’ satisfaction. We have demonstrated that our model is sound and it works, and that by becoming an Ed franchisee you will make more money than as an independent. Over 35% of our operators make in excess of £30k. Our next challenge is to raise the profitability to an average of £30k.”

Ed’s is now the largest domestic garden maintenance franchise business in the UK. A key aspect of its success is the responsive service of its operators. In many cases an Ed’s gardener will have attended a garden before a competitor has even returned the call.
