Paul Hughes lives near Colchester and is a qualified commercial accountant. He has held many senior finance roles for a variety of businesses, including spells spent overseas. Most recently, he was the chief financial executive for Coico Consulting, management advisors to SMEs. There, Paul was responsible for the provision of operational and financial services to business owners and stakeholders.

Paul recalls: “As a former banker and accountant, I wanted to run a business where my skills would be immediately transferable. I also enjoy being with organisations on a consultant basis, as I’ve worked as a management consultant in the past. I wanted to find a professional services franchise and I liked the Auditel brand.”

Asked how he rated the training, Paul said: “I loved every day and the way in which the information was provided. The skills test was very comprehensive. I enjoyed it thoroughly.”

Paul’s previous experience ranges from dealing with profitable and high profiled clients, to growing organisations faced with cash-flow challenges. This has given him a thorough understanding of how cost affects businesses. “I know how effective cost management can make a good company great!”

Now out in the marketplace, Paul is currently engaged with a number of associates, on a variety of prospects and projects. They work closely in an Auditel team of some seven consultants. Together, they bring a wealth of experience combined with significant business and industry knowledge.

Paul explains: “We collaborate on projects to deliver effective analysis and management of expenditure, across a wide range of sectors.
