So much for the market slowing down! As I chatted to our amazing HomeXperts agents across the country last week, a common theme was: “when is it going to slow down for Christmas?” Not a complaint clearly, but we had such a busy November that in fact it was one of the most active months since HomeXperts launched in 2009.

And it did not stop. On Friday 20th we had a record number of property completions with a record number of people moving into their new homes just in time for Christmas.

“But isn’t the market supposed to slow down in December?” do I hear you think to yourself? Well the old rules no longer apply in this post-2008 property market. There is no slow down, the peaks have been levelled off, and our HomeXperts franchisees are available for business all year.

It has been an amazing couple of months, starting with celebrating the huge success of Dawn Platt winning the Gold Award for Franchisee of the Year at the Negotiator Awards. Plus HomeXperts were a finalist in four other categories: Marketing Team, Website, Franchisor and Innovation.

Then we had two new franchisees join the two HomeXperts families: HomeXperts Witney and HomeXperts Waterlooville. They have just finished the Training Academy, ready to launch their new businesses in January.

Finally came the amazing news that HomeXperts won Silver as the Sunday Times, Times Estate Agency of the Year, Best Estate Agency Franchise. What a way to finish the year!
