It’s All About Dogs At FASTSIGNS Birmingham

On Sunday 9 September Janie and Martin Drury, Owners of FASTSIGNS® Birmingham, spent the day as guest judges for the fourth annual All About Dogs event at Warley Woods.

Fastsigns Franchise Opportunity

Janie and Martin, who have been running their signage and graphics company since 1996, were more than happy to sponsor the show and take part in the day’s activities. As well as providing £300 to pay for prizes and rosettes they also printed some banners to promote the event.

The sun shone and around 1000 people visited the event, with the Fun Dog Show attracting over 250 entrants! The categories included ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Best Rescue Dog’. Martin Drury judged the ‘Best Rescue Dog’ and Janie adjudicated ‘The Dog That The Judge Most Wanted To Take Home’.

Janie Drury said: “We’ve been providing signs for Warley Woods for over six years and we were delighted to support this event. It was a great day and it’s made me really want a dog of my own!”

Vivienne Cole, Trust Manager, Warley Woods Community Trust said: “We are so grateful for FASTSIGNS support and especially the fact that Janie and Martin got so involved. It’s such a fun event and there were quite a few comedy moments especially during the ‘Scurry’ when some participating dogs got so enthusiastic they continued running after they’d completed the course!”

The free event is run in partnership with the RSPCA and raised £1701 to be split between the two charities. There were a wide range of activities to watch and take part in, as well as food and craft stalls, and animal charities. Visitors were treated to professional agility and flyball demonstrations, and there were opportunities for dog owners to give their own pets a go. Companion Care Vets were also available to offer advice to pet owners.
