Prior to working with clients, new care workers go through a comprehensive induction course and undergo various mandatory training courses, ensuring they are equipped to deliver the care service to Caremark’s high standard.
The mandatory training courses were carried out at the care provider’s main office over three days and included practical training in Manual Handling and the correct use of a hoist.

Together with practical training, all care workers have to successfully complete Caremark’s E-Learning training courses. This system of blended learning ensures a rounded, joined-up approach to training. Newly inducted care workers then ‘shadow’ an experienced colleague and integrate their learning and training by observing quality care provision first hand.

Training in key areas such as Safeguarding is not only for care workers; office staff too have to be able to understand the issues associated with Safeguarding and how to respond. The office care team at Caremark (Bromley) have recently completed the ‘Safeguarding Adults: Level 1 Awareness and Reporting’ and are now equipped to spot situations where a vulnerable adult may be at risk. Part of this essential training is knowing what to do with the information received and how to make sure that everybody under their care is safe.

Caremark (Bromley) provide care and support for people of all ages, abilities and ethnicities who wish to remain living safely and independently at home. Alongside the daily care and support provided, Caremark (Bromley) also offer a more intensive level of care package in the form of 24 hour live-in care and support under the brand of Habito.
