Post Office Managers Become Card Connection Franchise Owners

Leading greeting card publisher and franchisor, Card Connection, has today announced that Helen and David Rabaiotti have taken over the company’s Bath territory. Former farmer, David Rabaiotti who previously, also used to help out in his wife’s local Post Office, now delivers Card Connection’s range of high-quality greeting cards to more than 100 stores in the region. Helen Rabaiotti continues to run the local Post Office and helps prepare the deliveries for the Card Connection franchise on a part-time basis.

“David and Helen are used to being self employed and are experienced in working in customer facing roles,” confirms Andrew Cutler, sales director of Card Connection. “This background will ensure they can get up and running quickly, to build relationships with their franchise territory’s existing retail customers and therefore maximise the profit from their new venture.”

“We were familiar with Card Connection’s range of greeting cards and gifts as the old franchisee delivered them to the Post Office,” explains Helen Rabaiotti. ”We knew the products were always particularly popular and sold well, so when the franchise became available, we jumped at the chance to branch out. We also liked the fact that there is plenty of scope for expansion and are looking forward to growing the business over time.”

Card Connection has limited vacancies for franchisees who are keen to run an expanding business. Successful candidates would ideally have some management experience as, once established, they would be expected to employ a small team, operate a warehouse and have several liveried vans on the road.

Because the franchise networks in the UK and Ireland are complete, the available opportunities now consist of acquiring an already-established territory from an existing franchisee. These vary in price according to their level of development, but start at £20,000 (+ stock) with earnings potential in excess of £50,000 per annum.
