A premium Home Care Company are currently in the running for receiving a prestigious Care Award through the Great North East Care Awards 2011.

Jackie Everidge, Care Manager for Caremark (Redcar and Cleveland), is one of four finalists in the running for the Home Care Registered Manager Award, the winner of which will be announced mid-November.

After the national home care company put nominated their manager for the award, the were delighted when she was called to  the Newcastle Hilton where she met and was interviewed by the panel of judges.

Jackie was photographed and videoed and although she found the experience  daunting, she felt she did a good job in representing herself and her company.

As there were a high number of nominations for this Award, Jackie was informed that she had done  extremely well to get to the place of one among four finalists and that more Managers of her calibre were needed within the industry.

When asked by the judges how she approached managing her staff, Jackie said “I place strong emphasis on valuing my team.  Through implementing the Caremark system I am able to  and give  them all the support they need, both as a team and as individuals”.

Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland) are now looking forward to the Awards Dinner on November 19th  2011 to be held at the Hilton in Gateshead when the final winners will be announced.
