Corstorphine, Edinburgh based TaxAssist Accountants, is celebrating a great business year with strong client and team growth. The 12-strong team, which has been providing tax and accountancy advice and services to local businesses for six years, has seen a 38% growth year-on-year and now serves 875 small business clients across the region.

As the flourishing practice continues to grow its client base, the team has been boosted with the addition of three new team members including an accountant, a tax return specialist and an accounting apprentice.

Renee Mackay, owner of TaxAssist Accountants Corstorphine, said, “The new staff are already proving to be a great addition to the team in the Corstorphine office which is evident through the brilliant feedback from clients. Not only have we recruited more team members, we’ve invested in new technology and software to increase our offering to current clients as well as using it to engage with other local small businesses.”

“The appetite for jargon-free advice specifically to the small business community is growing and we want to cater to this demand too. The past six years have seen us go from strength-to-strength and we’re already looking to open a third TaxAssist Accountants office on the back of the success of Corstorphine and Dunfermline, an office we co-own with Janet Mclean.”

After 18 months working in the Corstorphine office, with her business partner Renee Mackay, Janet Mclean was keen to open a branch of her own. She comments, “Dunfermline is really developing and I saw a huge gap in the market in my home town to provide great, jargon free advice to the local small business community.” Janet currently has 70 clients and is looking to employ more staff later this year.

There are now over 200 TaxAssist franchises operating from over 250 shops and offices around the UK, and in the last year over 13,800 small businesses said “yes” to becoming a client of a TaxAssist Accountant.
