Signs supremo Jenny proves she’s the best in the UK

JENNY Boreham is on top of the world after winning a national award for FASTSIGNS® Chelmsford.

Jenny Boreham receives her award from FASTSIGNS International CEO Catherine Monson.

Despite the recession, Jenny beat more than 22 FASTSIGNS franchise holders in the UK and scooped the prize for Sales Achievement at the company’s UK National Convention and Awards Dinner.

FASTSIGNS offers a full range of custom signs and graphic products to businesses, including banners, posters and exterior and interior signage.

Owner of FASTSIGNS Chelmsford since 1996, Jenny was overjoyed and paid tribute to her staff. “I’m so proud. My team have been with me for a long time and they’ve been great,” she said.

She achieved the highest sales figures for the year to October 2009, and received her trophy at a glittering awards ceremony in Oxford, where FASTSIGNS’ UK Managing Director Garth Allison had nothing but praise for the one-woman dynamo.

“Jenny has done exceptionally well, and she’s consistent – it’s the third year in a row she’s been a winner. We’re very proud to have her in the FASTSIGNS family,” said Mr Allison.

Jenny puts her success down to teamwork and hard graft. The recession made her determined to think strategically and build the business.

“We kept a continual focus on marketing. It’s easy to take your eye off the ball, especially when times are tough. But we implemented some new initiatives and launched our new brochure. We went back to basics and studied our market. We also made a major investment in some new equipment costing £100,000.

“During a recession it is particularly important not to rest on your laurels; you have to keep constantly pushing to find new business rather than sitting and waiting for it to come to you.”
