“Out of the office until…” can cause panic for those you work with. Our advice? Make it as painless as possible for you and those you work with.

We recommend this fantastic tool, not only for handover but for effective day-to-day working.

• List each task that you are handing over to your colleague
• Next to each activity detail the last steps taken
• Detail what the next steps are in the process
• Always include a due date
• Highlight any contacts/documents that are associated with the task

Don’t forget to list your handovers by priority! Make it easy for the person you are handing over to and you won’t come back to any problems. Win-win!

One question prospective Partners frequently ask is, can my SmartPA business move with me? The answer, simply, is yes. Becoming a SmartPA Partner doesn’t tie you down to one place – it’s mobile and can go wherever you go!
Last week we had SmartPA Partner Daniella visit our offices – she recently moved from rural Lancashire to Dunblane.

Throughout the process SmartPA provided the support she needed to relocate whilst still managing her clients. She continues to successfully manage her clients in England and has big plans for developing her SmartPA business in Scotland.
