Under Starters Orders and Raring to Go

The Olympic Park in London was the venue that Junk Hunters chose get its latest franchisees ‘up and running’.

Junk Hunters Franchise

Business partners Chamara Rupasinghe and Chandika Arachchilage have ‘taken up the baton,’ becoming the latest addition to Junk Hunters’ growing network of franchisees.

The business partners will split their roles within the business with Chamara taking the responsibility for marketing and business development, whilst Chandika will be operational on the vehicle and have the responsibility of ensuring that customer expectations are met. “We have been looking for a business opportunity for some time,” states Chamara, “and the Junk Hunters business model suited both our skill sets as it involved business development as well as ensuring that we live up to our customer service promise.”

“I did a lot of research on the potential market and it became apparent that the amount of waste that we are producing is growing and that an opportunity exists for a locally owned professionally run business to capitalize on this expanding sector.”

“We were also impressed by our franchisor” added Chandika. “Everything we required to get started was supplied ranging from the IT equipment needed to set up a home office through to the distinctively liveried vehicle. Head Office support is also available including a dedicated booking system where customers can book our services 24/7.”

“We felt that the Olympic Park was a suitable venue to launch our business,” concluded Chamara, “as we are definitely in this for the long run.”
