The world’s largest mobile coffee franchise Cafe2U is pleased to announce that David Downie has recently been appointed as a director of Cafe2U UK, and has accepted the formal role of Chairman of the UK board.

David, already an investor in the business, brings his wealth of retail knowledge and experience to help drive forward Cafe2U’s future success.

Tom Acland, UK Managing Director at Cafe2U explains: “David comes from an impressive background of successes at ASDA, Walmart, Phones 4u and HSS Hire Group Ltd. David has an incredible drive and passion for getting the best out of people and developing their full potential – something we can certainly relate to at Cafe2U!”

David is really excited about joining Cafe2U in a more involved capacity after being a non-executive chairman during 2011: “I’m looking forward to taking more time to get to know everyone in the Cafe2U network. During my career, I have headed up large teams in HR, sales, customer service and operations and my role at Cafe2U will combine all of these areas as I help to lead the company and the franchise system forward through 2012 and beyond.”
