The British Franchise Association Revived with New Board Member!

Members of the British Franchise Association (BFA) have voted for Mark Llewellyn, managing director of leading SMART repair franchise Revive!, to join their Board of Directors.

Mark Llewellyn, managing director, Revive!

The news was announced at the BFA’s AGM held at Hyatt Regency, Birmingham in December last year.

Mark: “I am passionate about franchising, as a great model for business, and the last 18 months have seen huge advances for Revive! within our particular sector. I am really honoured to be joining the Board – there is already a huge amount of franchise knowledge and experience within the board and I am sure that I will learn a lot. I am also proud to be in a position to promote ethical franchising and to influence the development of the sector.”

On completion of his degree Mark’s passion of rugby took him to Bordeaux, France where he stayed for five years, playing rugby for Second Division Stade Foyen. Mark then moved to Vancouver, Canada for a year where he came across the concept for SMART repairs before returning to the UK and to set up his cosmetic paint work business.

15 years on and Mark has been at the forefront of the campaign to raise standards in the cosmetic SMART repair sector. Testament to this Revive! recently became the first SMART repair company to have IMI(Institute for the Motoring Industry) Awards Centre approval to offer Quality Assured Awards (QAA) and a new national cosmetic qualification. In 2010 Revive! was also presented with the bfa’s HSBC Franchisee Support Award.

Brian Smart, Director General of the bfa, said: “Mark’s election to the bfa Board is a very well deserved recognition of the commitment and professionalism that he has brought both the franchising and the SMART repair sector. The bfa’s work in promoting and protecting ethical franchising will gain much from Mark’s experience and insight”.
