Welcome to the team! Tell us a bit about yourself?

I live in Woodford, Essex, with my husband Jimmy and son Zac. As a child, I loved playing on my sister’s old fashioned typewriter and pretending I was a secretary so being a secretary/PA is what I’ve always wanted to do.

I also love reading up on health and have various diplomas including Sports & Nutrition, Eating Disorders Level 2 and I’m also qualified in Indian Head Massage!

Why did you decide to go into business?

Having worked in the City of London for over 25 years, I was made redundant last year. This gave me the opportunity to think about taking on a new challenge, one that would give me a better work/life balance. SmartPA ticked all the boxes.

What does becoming a SmartPA Partner mean to you?

Becoming a SmartPA Partner means I get to run my own business and earn a good income with the support of SmartPA head office. This in itself gives me the confidence to succeed in my new venture.

As a SmartPA Partner, what are you most looking forward to?

I am really looking forward to utilising all my skills and working with a variety of clients, and above all, knowing that I am helping them grow their own business as well as mine.

Who is your hero?

My hero is a person, male or female, who stands up for what they believe in, takes positive chances and goes for it. As they say, You Only Live Once!

What advice would you give you other women considering going into business?

If you’ve always dreamt of being your own boss, willing to put the hard work in and are motivated, then go for it!
