Creating a full-time business with eDivert

Stewart, our eDivert franchisee in Chichester, discusses how the franchises’ business model set him up for immediate success.

eDivert Success Story

When thinking about starting a franchise business, people are often looking for something quick to establish, low cost or low risk, and flexible in terms of working hours.

While eDivert offers all these things, we’re also very proud that the business model is robust enough to deliver a whole lot more. Take our Chicherster-based franchisee, Stewart Dunne. His requirements were somewhat different as he was looking for a ‘bread winning’ income which could match his long-term sales career earnings but allow him to stop travelling as much and find a better work-life balance.

Absolutely sustainable for a full time, high earning business

Stewart describes eDivert as “absolutely sustainable for a full time, high earning business”. He wanted a franchise which gave him more time at home but didn’t want to sacrifice the skills he had acquired over the years or the buzz of hard work and excellent standards of service.

“I like that eDivert franchises aren’t tied by geography,” explains Stewart, “so I’m able to grow the business in many ways. I can attract clients via local networking groups and also take advantage of leads from Head Office and even bring in tasks generated by the clients of other eDivert franchisees.”

This is a possibility because of the unique way eDivert is structured. Franchisees are encouraged to share workload depending on skills and specialisms. Stewart has therefore been able to create a business that really works for him: focusing on the areas where he has experience and can really add value for his clients, and passing over some of the tasks he is less suited to. It makes for a highly efficient resource which clients can tap into.

When asked whether he would recommend eDivert Stewart leaves no doubt by saying “well, I certainly wish I’d done this sooner. It’s a business with a really strong structure and a helpful business model. It’s flexible to meet all types of franchisee because the training is so thorough, everything you need to know is available. It doesn’t matter how much experience you come in with, you can grow yourself and your business as much as you choose.”

Support in a time of need

While some eDivert franchisees are benefitting from greater flexibility to navigate their way through the pandemic and lockdown, Stewart is benefitting from being able to support businesses who have had to pivot suddenly or even those who have furloughed staff. His services mean businesses have a safety net, whether that’s in respect of telephone answering, customer service or project management services, eDivert offers them all.

“eDivert isn’t a one-size-fits-all franchise” concludes Stewart. “It brings the usual benefits of structure and an established business model but I can create an operation that’s bespoke to my needs and interests. I love that individuality and that it’s coupled with teamwork when we all pull together to deliver our various specialisms across the entire client base. It’s the very best of both worlds.”
