Kay opts for quality Kare!

“I visited the Franchise Exhibition at the NEC and was immediately drawn to the Kare Plus stand. It was well branded and professional. I felt the Kare Plus team were speaking my language – we got on so well that in the end I didn’t even bother visiting the other companies because I knew I’d found the right opportunity.”

Personal experience of widely varying standards of care persuaded Kay Gynane to start her own business in the sector. Sadly, Kay had nursed her husband through terminal illness as well as caring for her grandmother before she died.

Whilst looking after them both, she says she encountered many different care agencies and as a result wanted to offer a service that could fill the apparent gaps.

“I’d been working for Post Office Ltd, responsible for a team dealing with the customer helpline and complaints” Kay says. “I’d been wanting to escape the corporate world and the commuting for some time, but make use of the skills I have acquired along the way, so when my Nan died and left me some money, I thought this was my chance to set up a business of my own.”

Kay looked at three different franchise opportunities in the care sector, but says Kare Plus was the clear choice.

Having completed her training, Kay set up her offices in premises on a busy main road environment that reflect her commitment to quality. She has created a welcoming but smart professional office space that sets her business apart from competing agencies in the main conurbation, both in terms of distance and reputation.

“A culture of quality comes from the top,” she says. “I want to recruit the best people and the best people will want to work for the best agency – and that’s Kare Plus Stafford. I’m making sure I have a great team of people before I start marketing my services. The territory Kare Plus has mapped out for me includes a large number of care homes and hospitals, including those such as Care UK, Four Seasons and Mencap, where Kare Plus already have national contracts in place. I’m sure I’ve made the right choice with Kare Plus and I’m looking forward to building a future providing the very best quality of care to my clients.”
