Meet Our New Franchisee in Lichfield, Staffordshire

In January he attended the eDivert Discovery Day in London, which was a great opportunity to meet the eDivert team and find out what the franchise network had to offer. He took the time to thoroughly research his options and to ensure eDivert was the right decision for him. During this time he also started talking to friends and colleagues about his plans and started building contacts for his future business.

Rob has made a flying start with his eDivert business, in which he works on a full-time basis. He completed his training and was fully set-up to launch within 4 weeks. As soon as he completed the training he was able to pick up some work from one of our other franchisees, as well as from head office. Picking up this work is giving him some valuable practical experience in how to provide the services, while at the same time keeping enough room in his weekly schedule to work on building up his own customer base.

Rob hadn’t run his own business before, but has a host of experience in working in a corporate customer service environment. He focuses on offering telephone answering and live chat answering services.

We asked Rob a few questions about being an eDivert franchise owner:

What do you believe is key to the growth and maintenance of a strong business?

Success in business is about 3 things: 1, Gaining the work initially 2, Providing high quality work, which brings with it loyalty and word of mouth marketing .3, Maintaining and growing strong brand awareness to bring in new prospects and ensure current business doesn’t stray.

Why are you interested in operating a franchise?

A franchise has hopefully learned from the mistakes I would make if I was to go it alone, and adds the support and additional resource that I will need in order to take time off etc.

Why do you think eDivert is the right franchise for you?

I was looking to provide this sort of service from home, and it makes sense to go with an established franchise. I am keen to grow the business to the point where I would have a team of my own.
