“It’s great to be one small part of a large network, which I will use to strengthen the presence of OSCAR in my area.”

When the time was right, Tracey Espelund headed off in the direction of OSCAR.

“You could say the introduction to my OSCAR business was brilliant. Having been a well-established customer, I’d had first-hand experience with a food that helped my elderly GSD, who suffered from pancreatitis, cope with his condition.” Tracey goes on to say, “Working in the high-powered world of accountancy, which at times took me to different countries, it became clear after attending an OSCAR discovery meeting that eventually the chance to change my lifestyle was really close to home.

“I could see how OSCAR offered me the ideal future career; to take control of my own destiny, with the independence of working for myself, was going to be a far more satisfying challenge. My close connection with the products and service made everything much easier to understand and, combined with the backup support, I was grateful for the strong sense of loyalty within the company. Every department provided so much help and advice, which remains ongoing.

“I bought into an area that has benefitted from the OSCAR service, but was in need of further development, and by following the OSCAR guidelines the system is helping me to build my business with confidence. Having an existing customer base has already introduced me to new contacts, and even more rewarding is the joy of being able to make a difference to pets with nutritional problems.”

Tracey continues: “It’s great to be one small part of a large network, which I will use to strengthen the presence of OSCAR in my area. And in joining forces with neighbouring franchisees at local shows and events, we make time to share experiences and bounce off ideas – with a good mix of ages and backgrounds there is so much to gain.

“I love all pets, and I now think the dogs love me back because I smell of food. But more to the point, my new career means I can forget the past and enjoy a relaxed way of life where I can be flexible in giving my time where it’s appreciated.”
