Barrett & Coe photographers are trained to capture the very best in baby, portrait, pet and wedding photography whilst offering a friendly service to our ever-increasing customer base. Creative images are enhanced further with a superb product range containing a mix of traditional and contemporary frames, albums and acrylics to suit every home.
Barrett & Coe is a national operation; there are more than 25 successful studios. In areas where a Barrett & Coe studio is not yet established we have a network of recommended independent photographers who share our passion for photography. Complementing the individual marketing done by franchisees there are national contracts in place for baby, family and pet portraits with the National Childbirth Trust, PTA Plus and Activity Superstore. There are other ongoing promotions and we achieve consistently high prominence on internet search engines.
A day in the life of a franchisee involves welcoming clients, photographing them, preparing their images, conducting viewings and providing the finished portraits. In addition to this, the background work involves local marketing, telephone confirmations with clients and corporate partners, and networking. All of this involves face-to-face and telephone skills to achieve marketing and sales objectives. There is also the general running of the business and management decisions.
No previous photographic experience is required. The training will detail how to take award-winning images; and achieve bookings, along with foolproof methods to structure a photography session with effective lighting and posing; the latest products to offer; and how to use digital manipulation to further increase the appeal of the images you take. Our training introduces techniques used to maximise sales, and is approved and accredited by the Master Photographers Association.
