Bartercard operates in 10 countries and has over 55,000 cardholders. We have been operating for 26 years and are the world’s largest trade exchange. In the UK we have 11 outlets which are a mixture of company-owned and franchises; and opportunities throughout the UK including the sale of company-owned operations. We have UK-wide coverage but stronger in the south than the north and there are therefore many great opportunities to build a business.

Training

Training is extensive and ongoing, both in the classroom and in the field. Foundation training for sales, trading, and business management are in the classroom and are short residential courses. These are followed up by training, mentoring and support in the business and advanced levels as the business grows. There is a full support structure in all key areas which is personalised to reflect levels of experience and expertise.

Daily Life of a Franchisee

Predominantly working with small businesses, you will be building new relationships through calls, direct marketing, and networking events. You will be meeting with business owners and showing them the benefits that Bartercard can bring to their business. You will need to balance a significant amount of time out on the road with the management of the business and supporting existing members.
