Company Overview

Certax Accounting is a tax advisory and accountancy franchise that serves the needs of local UK business communities. Since the introduction of Self Assessment tax returns, upon which very many people need specialist advice, this has turned into a growing and lucrative market.

Franchise Overview

The franchise was launched in September 1999, with its first course being held in January 2000, now with offices throughout the UK. The unique aspect of Certax is that it is supported by the founder’s own Chartered Accountancy practice and is the major accounting and tax advisor franchise in the country supported by a working accountancy practice. There is no better tutor than a franchisor who has already achieved the success that each franchisee will aspire to emulate.

Training

Our courses are run by professionally qualified accountants, who are known for their pragmatism and practical advice. The franchisee training and ongoing support packages are extremely comprehensive and are aimed at ambitious and dedicated people who don't necessarily have formal accountancy qualifications. Our training courses help you set up, develop and grow your practice successfully. Duration of courses are as follows: Full course – 4 weeksQualified course – 3 daysBookkeeping course - 1 week

Daily Life of a Franchisee

Given the comprehensiveness of Certax training, you do not need to have a background in the accountancy sector, although you will obviously be numerate, enjoy working with figures and be familiar with a personal computer. You also need to be a good communicator and feel comfortable in meeting people. Other important personal qualities relate to business ambitions and, above all, willingness to operate to Certax Accounting's high standards of professionalism.
