Dress My Windows was founded in 1997, in Manchester, selling blinds and curtains around Greater Manchester. In 2002, we established a relationship with a plantation shutter importer in Surrey and began designing and fitting shutters throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Demand for shutters has grown incredibly quickly (we liken it to the demand for PVC windows which exploded in the 1970’s and 80’s). We are now looking to provide opportunities for the right individuals in this fast-growing industry.
Our primary product is plantation shutters. The franchisee will follow leads which will entail visiting the client’s home and providing a consultation service: Measure the window and provide a comprehensive and knowledgeable design for the customer’s window.
For a franchisee fee of £15,000, you will receive:
- Shutter Demonstration Kit.
- Specialist Measuring Equipment.
- Survey Pads.
- Marketing Material.
- Comprehensive Tool Kit (All top quality, durable brands)
- Second to none, comprehensive, extensive and on-going training.
Training
Training consists of 2 day of initial head office training, followed by 3 days “live” field training. Training also covers assistance in installing initial orders received by the Franchisee and is continuous until the franchisee reaches full confidence in the product.
Help with Lead Generation
Initially, the franchisee can operate the business using a car. As the business grows, it will be necessary to purchase and run a van as the products being sold are bulky. This cost is to be met by the Franchisee.
The ideal franchisee will be comfortable dealing with clients over the phone and also on a face-to-face basis in the customer’s own home. They will need to have basic competence in DIY; You should be comfortable fixing timber products into various substances; wood, concrete, brick etc. The products can also be quite heavy, so if any potential candidates have back problems etc. this may not be the ideal business to operate.
We are currently a small company and can therefore offer a close, hands-on relationship to the right candidate.
