Marla Custom Blinds

Company Overview

Marla Custom Blinds survey, supply and install blinds, shutters, curtains, awnings and canopies to residential, commercial and contract customers.

Franchise Overview

Marla Custom Blinds currently has one company-owned unit operating in Hampshire (head office) and a franchise unit operating in east Devon which allows us to cover most of the south coast of England. We plan to expand the network initially south of Birmingham, and eventually nationwide.

There is one week’s initial training at head office, followed by a further week’s training which can be used as required – anything from one day at a time to five days in one go, either in-house, onsite or combined. There is ongoing support, help and advice as and when required, together with a field visit approximately every six to 12 weeks depending on the experience and requirements of the franchisee.

Daily Life of a Franchisee

The franchisee day will consist of a mixture of office work (making appointments, generating quotes, invoices etc.) and being out on the road visiting customers to carry out site surveys, provide quotations and carry out installations. Initially the main customers will be residential but as the franchisee becomes more competent and confident they will begin to deal with commercial and contract customers, which should then enable a larger average order value.
