Our aim is to establish a Nelson’s Gin School in every major town and city in the world, delivering a 5-star TripAdvisor Visitor Attraction. Our vision is to open 10 franchise schools per year across the uk as well as globally.

Unlike other gin schools Nelson’s does not need a fixed venue as the stills and kit required can be packed into a mobile unit and set up in any suitable space. This allows the franchisee to have more than one venue or utilise space on a part time basis. This flexibility allows for the school to be set up and dismantled on the day with minimum of disruption to the venue.

The Franchise Opportunity

The business model forms the basis of the Franchise and has a record of steady growth and profitability. The business is heavily endorsed by customer demand, has excellent margins and potential for expansion.

In return for a Franchise Package Fee you will be given a protected area and helped to establish your Nelson’s School. All the equipment and ingredients you will need to hold schools will be provided together with detailed training.

You will be offering 4 hour tutored sessions, together with a tasting and lunch for up to sixteen people at a time who will learn about gin in general, and Nelson’s Gin in particular, and will be able to produce and take away their own distinctive recipe gin choosing from 50 botanicals.

Training & Support

You will be fully trained in all aspects of owning and operating a Nelson’s School Franchise. The training, both theoretical and practical, will take place in Uttoxeter and in your location and will be carried out by the experienced Nelson’s School’s training team.

Who We Are Looking For

You will be an outgoing person, maybe from a teaching or selling background, or from the hospitality sector, who is used to inspiring groups of people, can effectively sell the concept to hotels or similar licensed outlets. We will be looking for:

• Suitable background and skills
• A knowledge of, and an affinity with, what we do A logical and organised way of working
• The ability to effectively market the Nelson’s School Franchise and deliver the services
• Ability and willingness to implement our model
• Prepared to listen to advice and guidance
• Ability to work within a predetermined system
• Adequate business funding
• Agreeable personality with good social skills
• Commitment to delivering and maintaining high-quality services
• Strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Actively marketing the business on a local level to both suitable venues and potential clients.
• Following up and converting enquiries to clients,
• Delivering school sessions and selling Nelson’s products
• Keeping skills and knowledge up to date

Investment Required

You will need to have access to around £35,000 to cover the Franchise Package Fee and some working capital.
