A Day at the Races for Local Businessmen

As a sponsor of the Pirtek Racing team in the 2012 British Touring Car Championships (BTCC) Roger Boothman from Revive! North Yorkshire and his customer Matt Billington from West Riding Motor Group Toyota dealership went to the Croft Circuit near Darlington recently to see Pirtek driver Andrew Jordan in action.

Revive Franchise Opportunity

Matt Billington, Pirtek driver Andy Jordan and Roger Boothman ReviveThirsk based Mobile Bodyshop business Revive! regularly visits the West Riding Motor Group dealerships to repair scuffs and scrapes to customers’ vehicles and alloy wheels. As a part of the sponsorship deal Revive! receives VIP passes for the BTCC events so Roger invited service advisor Matt Billington to join him for the day out at Croft.

Pirtek is racing one of only eight new generation touring cars (NGTC) on the circuit. Its brand new NGTC – spec Honda Civic with a Neal Brown engine is the same as the Honda Works team car. Andrew Jordan took third place in the final race at Croft and is placed in overall fourth position at the half way point of the Championships.

Commenting on the day out Roger said: “I get on really well with everyone at the dealership so asked if anyone fancied coming with me to Croft. Obviously Matt and I share an interest in cars and we had a great day out. All of the races were closely fought with loads of thrills and spills along the way.

“One of the benefits of being a sponsor is having access to areas of the circuit that the general public can’t go enabling us to get much closer to the action and atmosphere.

“It was exciting to have the opportunity to meet with the Pirtek team driver Andrew Jordan, see our branding on the car close up and be taken on a grid tour.”

Revive!’s customers include car dealerships, manufacturers and private motorists. Smart (small area repair technique) repair is a quality, cost effective and time-saving alternative to taking the vehicle to a bodyshop for minor paintwork repairs. Costing far less than most insurance policy excesses, the work is carried out at a time and place to suit the customer, minimising vehicle downtime and protecting the owner’s no claims bonus.
