It’s never too late to do something different and Lindsay Allison is living proof that you can have more than one career in a lifetime. After spending the past ten years as co-owner of the successful FASTSIGNS® franchise in Sheffield & Chesterfield, Lindsay has decided to take up a new career in Homeopathy.

Lindsay says: “I’ve really enjoyed working for FASTSIGNS but I became interested in Homeopathy 4 years ago, when I had some health issues.  I was so astonished at the effect it had on me that I decided to study it.   Since then I’ve embarked on a 4 year Licentiate qualification from the Society of Homeopaths and I’ve seen many times how homeopathy can change people’s lives.  I have previously studied nursing and my parents were both medics so this is a bit of a return to my roots!   It’s very exciting to be embarking on this new phase of my life.”

Lindsay is leaving her share of the business in the capable hands of her business partner and step-son, Paul Allison. Lindsay and Paul have been jointly running FASTSIGNS in Sheffield and Chesterfield for over four years, and Paul has been with the company for over 12 years.

Paul, 33 yrs old, will continue to run the business with his father, joint owner Garth Allison who is now managing director of FASTSIGNS UK.

Paul said: “I love working in signage; it’s creative and every day is different.  I particularly like seeing the signs come to life on someone’s building or shop front.”

And he has big plans for the future: “I would like to grow the business, take on more staff and eventually move premises to accommodate more equipment.”

Lindsay who set up her first FASTSIGNS franchise in 1999 in Chesterfield said: “I will really miss everyone; staff and customers, but I know that I’m leaving the business in safe hands.”

The business currently employs eight members of staff; six full-time and two part-time.
