‘Boutique hotel and modern office’ style workspace coming to downtown Mississauga

Mississauga’s buzzing entrepreneurial community has prompted a North American company to open a brand new office space in the city’s downtown core for people of all industries and occupational backgrounds. Venture X will officially open the new three-level, 6,000-square-foot space on Friday, April 28, located near Square One Shopping Centre, on Village Centre Court.

“We are very excited to be bringing Venture X to a city like Mississauga,” said Venture X Canada Director of Operations Anas Saltaji. “We see a lot of potential in this city. It is a vibrant, metropolitan area with a diverse community of people and entrepreneurs that we cannot wait to welcome into Venture X.”

Saltaji said his team identified a particular need for this type of space in the city.

“There’s a very high occupancy rate, particularly around the Square One area,” he said. “There are a lot of independent workers looking for space.”

The concept behind Venture X, Saltaji said, is to create a beautifully-designed setting and foster an environment where people love coming to work every day.

In keeping with this idea, the Mississauga locale will be a blend of boutique hotel and modern office styles featuring high-tech meetings rooms, a café and lounge, and open concept spaces with a high level of design and professional feel, the company said.

Catering to freelancers, startup teams, tech groups, architects, realtors, marketing professionals and many others, the location is hoping to establish itself as the go-to spot for networking, educational, social and business functions, Saltaji said.

“Venture X will unleash people’s potential by connecting them in diverse and collaborative workspaces where growth is both contagious and organic,” adds Saltaji. “We are thrilled to become a hub for people of all backgrounds to come together, collaborate, network, learn and be inspired.”

At the opening, a cheque presentation of $5,000 will also be made to Peel region’s Peel Youth Village (PYV).

“It is very important for us to become a truly meaningful part of Mississauga and give back to our new home and community,” said Saltaji. “One of the ways we hope to achieve this is by supporting great organizations such as Peel Youth Village so that they are able to continue to provide excellent services and programs to youth throughout the city.”
