Cafe2U Rochester answers the Call of the Midwife!

Paul Newman, Cafe2U Rochester, has an exciting first year as a Cafe2U franchise partner to look back on. Paul joined Cafe2U in November 2011 after spending 30 years working for McDonald’s, 7 years of which involved being a Business Manager and running his own branch.

After this time, Paul decided he was ready for a change and following a chance finding on the internet, Paul discovered Cafe2U and the franchises they offered.

Paul has been on hand to serve the crew and cast of popular BBC1 programme ‘Call the Midwife’, which is filmed in Chatham’s Historic Dockyard. The drama is set in London’s East End during the 1950s and is based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth, a newly-qualified midwife. He has also provided his fantastic coffee to the cast and crew of ‘Mr Selfridge’, the new ITV1 period drama about the life of Harry Gordon Selfridge and the story of his store, premiering in 2013.

“I chose a Cafe2U franchise opportunity because I liked the way they came across. They didn’t back down with their answers either as I was keen to ask them a lot of questions! I was shown around a van and was able to contact a current franchise partner to talk over any other queries I had – getting first-hand feedback. The franchise was in my price range as a very affordable option,” explains Paul.
