Leading greeting card publisher and franchisor, Card Connection, has today announced the first in a series of ‘limited’ gift products. Better known for supplying its quality greeting cards to retailers through 85 franchisees across the UK, the company this year aims to launch a ‘Party’ range and ‘Locker Lolly’ in addition to a ‘I hate speed cameras’ gift range.

“These gifts are aimed at the impulse purchaser,” explains Andrew Cutler, sales and franchise director of Card Connection.  “The products will be delivered to retailers and forecourts at the same time as our greeting cards, on a consignment basis which means retailers don’t have to purchase product up-front and only pay for the stock sold to customers.  Our franchisees will also benefit from an additional revenue stream through this limited offering.

“The Party Range will include candles and balloons and Locker Lolly is a key fob containing a trolley or locker token.  The ‘I hate speed cameras’ range which includes a pen and key fob offer will be available in the summer, after the Party range and Locker Lolly offers are finished,” continues Cutler.  “Already we are receiving positive feedback from retailers about the new gifts, as it allows them to diversify and carry additional stock at no risk.”

Card Connection has limited vacancies for franchisees who are keen to run an expanding business.  Successful candidates would ideally have some management experience as, once established, they would be expected to employ a small team, operate a warehouse and have several liveried vans on the road.

Because the franchise networks in the UK and Ireland are complete, the available opportunities now consist of acquiring an already-established territory from an existing franchisee.  These vary in price according to their level of development, but start at £20,000 (+ stock) with earnings potential in excess of £50,000 per annum.
