RIGHT at Home UK is delighted to announce that it’s latest home care office will open next month in Guildford and Farnham.

A further two offices are due to open in the key areas of Bournemouth and Cardiff later in the year.

Right at Home (Guildford & Farnham) will be owned and operated by Alastair Shanks, a former managing director who was initially attracted to the growth potential of the elderly care sector.

Most importantly, Alastair wanted to run a business offering a high-quality service that will have a positive impact on his own local community.

He says: “I am delighted to be joining a successful, international franchise at such an exciting stage in the UK. Since getting involved with Right at Home all I have seen of the organisation and its people has helped convince me it is the right choice for me.”

Alastair and his fellow Right at Home franchisees have been further impressed by the business credentials of Right at Home’s UK master franchisor, Ken Deary, who has won the prestigious BFA Franchisee of the Year award, as well as the Golden Arches Award as a franchisee with McDonalds.

Ken moved into the elderly care sector after selling on his restaurants, so offers a unique combination of highly successful experience across care and franchising.

His ambition to run a national business with a commitment to delivering excellent services coincided perfectly with Right at Home’s search for a UK master franchisor to develop their business in this fast-growing market.

Ken says: “I wanted to run a business with a strong sense of ethics and a warm, friendly approach that ran from its carers right the way up to its senior managers.

“I found that Right at Home, which was founded in the USA in 1995, matched these criteria whilst also delivering impressive profitability across its 250 franchise offices, in a market that is far more competitive than that in the UK.”

Since opening the first Right at Home UK office in 2010, Ken has adopted a slow and steady expansion strategy, which focuses on finding hands-on franchisees who share his passion for the business of caring for the more vulnerable members of our society.
