Meet the Barking Mad individuals starting new careers working with dogs!

Barking Mad Dog Care is delighted to announce the launch of two brand new dog sitting businesses, enabling us to cover more areas of the UK than ever before! Becky Spall is the proud owner of the new Barking Mad Crewe branch. Husband and wife team, Tony and Anna Scott-Swift, are excited to provide home from home dog holidays in Blaby, South Leicestershire. They are all following their dream of a new career working with dogs.

Our new dog sitting professionals attended Barking Mad HQ, in the Lake District, for comprehensive initial training. Our training schedule and content is derived from nearly nineteen years’ experience as the market leader in the industry. New franchise owners are coached by a talented team who are passionate about everything from dog behaviour to online marketing.

There was also a chance to meet all the members of our head office support team, including cuddles with our office pup, Paddy! Read on to learn more about Becky, Tony and Anna’s journey to becoming dog sitting franchise owners.

Lifelong dog lover Becky Spall was so impressed by the holiday care her brother’s black Labrador, Pasha, received she decided to start her own Barking Mad dog sitting business in Cheshire! At the time, she was practising as a solicitor in Macclesfield and had been appointed as the president of the South Cheshire Law Society. However, she couldn’t pass by the opportunity to work with dogs and dog lovers, whilst building up a successful business.

Becky’s love of dogs began at an early age. As a child she was besotted with her grandparent’s shih tzu, Chloe. She loved walking and playing with her and, of course, doggy cuddles. As an adult, her love of dogs has continued to grow and she feels incredibly lucky to be able to combine this passion with a new career.

Originally from Congleton, Becky currently lives in Sandbach with her husband, rescue rabbit Ebony and rescue cat Billy. She is passionate about helping animal rescue charities and a proud sponsor of Honey the golden retriever, who is cared for by the Dogs Trust. She also sponsors Senna the cockapoo puppy, who is currently training to be a hearing dog.

Tony and Anna Scott-Swift were immediately hooked when they came across Barking Mad. As long term and fully committed dog parents, they had been searching for a career change which would allow them to indulge their love of dogs, whilst also working together. With backgrounds in IT and Ecology, a new career working with dogs was the realisation of a dream.

Tony and Anna will be offering the Barking Mad dog home boarding service in Blaby, Enderby, Narborough, Wigston and the surrounding areas in Leicestershire. They live in Croft with their Labradors Bobs and Isca, as well as two big and fluffy Norwegian Forest cats, Mouse and Murph.
