A family owned sign and graphics specialist based in Hammersmith, has had a successful and eventful first ten months in business.

The established FASTSIGNS® business in Hammersmith was bought by husband and wife team, Friederike and Simon Slee in November 2011, and specialises in creating banners, signs and printed products of all shapes and sizes.

The couple took over the business just in time to benefit from FASTSIGNS new look, communicating its updated messaging: More than fast. More than signs.

Originally known as the “the next day sign and lettering experts”, FASTSIGNS’ business concept has grown from just offering banners and vinyl to providing complete visual communications solutions for way-finding, creating business visibility, helping launch new products – everything to meet the needs of businesses who are trying to have a consistent visual message.

Just a few months after they took over, Friederike and Simon were approached by the popular TV programme, The Hotel Inspector, to produce the new signage at the Caspian Hotel in Ealing. The couple went to the hotel and met the production team and hotel manager to discuss what could be done to improve the look and update the signage.

FASTSIGNS Hammersmith designed and produced three new and very much improved signs at the entrance of the hotel, the installation process was filmed for the TV series (which aired in mid-July).

Friederike, who is due to have the couple’s first baby anytime now, commented: “It was a very interesting process and we are so proud to have been involved in the programme and in supporting another local business.”

Earlier this year, FASTSIGNS Hammersmith was also nominated by its customers for the ‘Best Customer Service’ business award run by the Hammersmith and Fulham Borough Council.

Simon said: “We have been going from strength to strength. We strongly believe in providing customers with the best quality in both products and service and work closely in partnership with them from start to finish, offering advice and suggestions to ensure that customers get the best possible solution to their sign and graphics needs.”

Friederike and Simon Slee run FASTSIGNS Hammersmith with the help of a team of five staff. The firm offers a full range of custom made signs and graphic products to businesses, including banners, posters and exterior and interior signs.
