Recognition Express Eastern, a corporate recognition specialist based in Grimsby, recently achieved its best ever month with sales up 44 per cent year on year.

The firm’s growth trajectory has accelerated in the past six months following a major contract win involving re-brand activity for a large local company. Work with this client has snowballed and the foundations have been laid for an enduring business relationship.

Owners Claire Lindley and Matt Bevis say the scope of the contract has put their business in a new league. It gives them better buying power, enabling them to offer more competitive prices to all their customers. They have also been able to invest in new equipment to enhance the quality and efficiency of their service.

Claire and Matt took the business on in August 2010. In two years they have transformed it into a slick, focused operation with six employees. They expect to create two new production roles in the next 18 months, creating a standalone clothing team to operate alongside the existing production team which specialises in badges, signs and trophies.

“We are thrilled with our recent success, and we are well above target in terms of achieving our five-year goals,” says Claire. “However, we know we cannot afford to be complacent in the current economic environment. We are investing in our future and when the time is right, we will extend the team so we can continue offering a combination of great quality, great service and great value.”
