Australian-born hairdressing brand Just Cuts has celebrated the incredible salon owners who make up their UK network by awarding them for their dedication and professionalism during a challenging year.

These accolades, awarded virtually during an awards ceremony on 24^th November, came just as the team celebrated two Approved Franchise Association award wins.

Holly Feltham, owner of the new, much larger Just Cuts salon in Lakeside Shopping Centre, was named overall Franchisee of the Year. Barbara Burnett, who owns salons in Stevenage and Leeds, was commended for her commitment to local area marketing, and Courtney Robinson, a member of the Just Cuts Stevenage team, won Stylist of the Year. Magda Deaconescu, owner of salons in Walton-on-Thames and Wandsworth, won the Client Choice Award.

David Mathie, UK General Manager, is adamant that celebrating the continued achievements of his network is a fundamental part of running a successful brand.

“Just Cuts arrived in the UK in early 2018 and, in less than three years, we’ve really put ourselves on the map,” said David. “That’s down to the ways in which our salon owners work together with their teams of Stylists and how they successfully collaborate with their fellow salon owners. Whilst 2020 has certainly been the year that was sent to try the hair and beauty industry, our salon owners – whether in our native Australia, New Zealand or the UK – have taken the challenge on with the vigour and positivity I would expect from our network. I’m proud to recognise them and our continued growth around the nation.

“New Year celebrations will certainly look very different as the clock strikes midnight on 2020, but I’ll still be raising a glass to our fantastic network.”

As a testament to Just Cuts’ growth in the face of adversity in 2020, the brand has just won two Approved Franchise Association awards and has just been shortlisted for two national business awards. The Quality Franchise Association has recognised Just Cuts in their Technology & Innovation and New Franchisor of the Year categories. Holly Feltham has been shortlisted for Franchisee of the Year. Winners will be announced during a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Friday 29^th January.
