Sign erecting and maintenance franchise Countrywide Signs has revealed growth of over 85% in the number of jobs passed to its franchisees for May and June compared to 12 months previously.
The remarkable national accounts figures have been fuelled by the growth of online agencies including Purple Bricks, for whom the company is the exclusive preferred board supplier. The brand manages the central relationship with national agents, with franchisees passed work local to their territory – at no cost to them.
The news comes as Countrywide Signs continues to expand its commercial signage services, providing franchisees with multiple revenue streams as they grow substantial multi-van businesses.
Overall, estate agency board erection jobs were up by 62% year-on-year in the two months to June 2017; the number of board changes doubled; collection jobs increased by 120%; and other work was up over 42%.
Countrywide Signs director, Martin Attwood QFP, said: “We knew we were experiencing another record-breaking year, but these numbers are incredible. Because our main focus as a company is on the success of our franchisees, we couldn’t be happier with the growth of our national account work which contributes tens of thousands of pounds in turnover annually to some of our top performers.”
The company’s focus on enabling its franchisees to build significant, multi-van businesses is paying big dividends for those joining the network. Leading franchisee Tony Williams, who operates from his base in Merseyside with over 15 vans, is on track to reach £1m turnover within the next year.

Countrywide Signs recently announced a move to a new, larger warehouse facility to keep up with demand, with extra staff brought on board to ensure the seamless service for which the company is renowned in the property world.
