Countrywide Signs has announced a new partnership to ensure the environmentally safe and responsible recycling of its franchise network’s old estate agency boards.

The deal with EA Recycling replaces the company’s previous partnership, after growth meant a nationwide provider of recycling services was required to properly accommodate the disposal needs of Countrywide Signs’ network of franchisees.

EA Recycling state that over 3m tonnes of plastic waste are produced in the UK annually, with over 80% ending up in landfill sites. Traditional estate agency signs can take up to 500 years to degrade, so the company created a new system to maximise recycling of For Sale and To Let boards, while safely disposing of non-recyclable materials in accordance with legally required procedures.
