New Business Owners Complete Stage 1 Training

Three new Right at Home franchisees have moved a big step closer to opening their businesses, after completing an intensive training programme to prepare them for managing a quality home care agency.

The new owners are Gabriela and Elijah Ablorsu, who will be opening Right at Home Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan; David Delaney, who will be establishing Right at Home in Eastbourne, and Andy McNiven, whose business will cover the Mid-Sussex area.

The new owner training is a key element of Right at Home’s RightStart programme, which guides new franchisees through the process of starting up their businesses and achieving break-even monthly sales. The training runs over two weeks and covers everything from legislation and compliance to financial reporting, via recruitment and marketing strategies.

It is designed to give new business owners, who may have never worked in care or run their own business before, the tools to move into a new sector with confidence, knowing they will also have close ongoing support from the head office team.

Stage two training will take place soon in the owners’ local offices, when their RightStart manager will make a two-day site visit to ensure they and their registered care manager have everything in place and are well prepared to obtain CQC registration and begin trading.

Right at Home Managing Director Ken Deary said: “We wish Gabriela and Elijah, David and Andy the very best at this exciting time – they have an exciting new future ahead of them and a wonderful opportunity to achieve their personal goals and make a real difference to vulnerable people in their local communities.”

Right at Home UK – which offers highly personalised support services to vulnerable adults and older people – now has 40 franchises in its UK network. New owners are accepted only after demonstrating they have a clear commitment to helping others and maintaining the very best standards of care and support.
