New home care provider, Caremark (Lancaster & South Lakeland) opened its doors for business on 10th September 2012 following successful registration with the Care Quality Commission, the regulatory body governing the health and social care industry.

Headed up by sisters and co-owners Alison Hedley and Susan Westbury, the business will be offering a broad range of home care and support services which will enable their customers to remain living independently in their own homes, whilst providing them with the flexibility to have the care they need, when they need it and as they would like it.

The company is locally and independently owned but backed by an experienced and reputable home care franchisor, Caremark Ltd.

Commenting on the vision they have for the business, Director Alison Hedley said “Our aim is to make a difference to people’s lives by enabling them to remain independent in their homes for longer.

Caremark (Lancaster & South Lakeland) will initially be providing care and support to older people but have future plans to move into the provision of care services for young people and children, having significant professional experience in this area.

The company is currently busy building links with related agencies in the area – Age UK, the Alzheimer’s Society, Parkinson’s UK as well as within their community health services.
