When working mum of two, Sally Grossmith, entered a competition to win a day out at the British Touring Car Championships (BTCC) she really did not believe she would be the winner.

As a sponsor of the Pirtek Racing team in this year’s BTCC, Revive! ran a competition through BTCC.net, giving one lucky winner the opportunity to have a VIP day at the Snetterton Circuit.

Sally went with husband, Alan, and they decided to make a weekend of it – the first they have had alone in 11 years. They have two children, 11 and seven, one of which has Asperger Syndrome, on the autistic spectrum, meaning routines cannot be changed very often.

Sally said: “It was a wonderful day and I am still in shock that it happened to me. The BTCC drivers are the best in their field and I’ve been following them for many years, they are like Gods to me!

“It was a busy but magnificent day, the grid tour, podium presentation and watching the races in the garage with the crew was an amazing experience. I also managed to hide my awe a little and have photos taken and ask for autographs.

“Everyone was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thank you Revive! for this once in a lifetime opportunity that I will remember for many years to come.”
