The Homecare franchise that delivers more than just outstanding care

A franchise is a great way to get into the healthcare sector enabling you to establish a business that can capitalise on the growing need for homecare and support services. Unlike other franchises, Kare Plus has a long and established history working within clinical and non-clinical settings, recruiting healthcare professionals to provide exceptional levels of care and support.

This experience and knowledge sets us apart enabling us to not only be better equipped to adapt to the changing needs of the healthcare sector but also to the needs of our franchise owners and their continued growth. From 2019 to date, Kare Plus has delivered 1,018,010 hours of care and support to customers in their own homes and this demand is rapidly expanding!

The market opportunity

The population of the UK is predicted to increase year-on-year over the next century. Demand in the over 50 demographic is also growing, with nine out of ten people stating they would rather receive care in their home than move into residential care.

Between 2017 to 2018, over £17.7 billion was spent on adult social care by local councils in the United Kingdom. As demand grows, local council spending on adult social care will continually be required to adapt to these levels of need. To put this into perspective, it’s estimated the global healthcare market will be worth £7.7 trillion by 2022.

As our population grows, so will the demand on public healthcare services resulting in the need for more and more providers of quality well lead care to meet these requirements.

The evolving homecare landscape

From September 2020, patients who require follow on care, further to being discharged from hospital, (including the older communities and people with disabilities), will be supported by a £588 million fund to cover adult social care or the immediate costs of care in their own home.

This funding will be in place to provide up to six weeks of additional ongoing care and support to those most vulnerable and comprehensive care and health assessments will be in place to ensure that people can be discharged safely.

This is big news for homecare providers such as Kare Plus who are experienced in the provision of recovery and rehabilitation services.
