Revive! Celebrates 7th Annual Conference

EARLIER this month the Revive! network got together to celebrate their seventh year. Franchisees joined Revive! head office staff for a day of presentations and training followed by a spectacular gala dinner and awards ceremony to mark the franchisees’ tremendous achievements.

Held at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford, the event started with a welcome introduction by Mark Llewellyn, Managing Director:

“We are delighted with the progress that the business has made and the franchise network has produced some really outstanding results. However it is important that we don’t rest on our laurels and continue to improve all aspects of the business to remain as the leading company in our sector. This is why we have speakers who will both motivate and inspire our network.”

During the day franchise owners were addressed by industry leaders such as Mike Monaghan and Rob Ward, leading consultants to the bodyshop sector, who encouraged the franchisees to continue developing their full range of skills.

This was followed by a supplier showcase with a number of high profile suppliers including MKPE, 3M and Sikkens. Franchisees were able to talk to suppliers in an informal way and discuss ways to move their businesses forward.

In the evening Revive! presented its prestigious annual Franchisee Awards to those franchisees who excelled in the field in 2010. Terry Mullen, Operations Director, commented: “The award winners should be proud of their accomplishments this year as the standard was extremely high and we had to make difficult choices in most of the categories. All of the winners provide excellent customer service and technical standards and have set the bar for others to aspire to in 2011.”

The headline award of “Franchisee of the Year 2010”, sponsored by MKPE, went to Russell Hudson, owner Revive! West Lincolnshire. Russell won an IPAD donated by Sikkens and a tool box and tools worth over £800.

“It is a great feeling to win the award given the competition I had from within the network. I am still ambitious and want to continue pushing the business forward,” said Russell, who hopes this year to add another technician and van.

The award for Franchise Progress 2010, also sponsored by MKPE, went to Adam Smith, owner of Revive! Luton. Adam has already added a second van to his fleet and is in the final stages of placing the order for his third vehicle to cope with his business expansion.

Revive Franchise Opportunity-1

Adam said: “During the past twelve months we have made very significant progress in terms of both the structure of the business and the turnover, which has essentially tripled.”

“It felt great to win the award. It’s always nice to be recognised for what you are doing. We have all worked incredibly hard here at Revive! Luton so this award means a lot.”

The Outstanding Sales Achievement award, sponsored by Sikkens went to Dan Normanton, owner of Revive! Manchester.

Dan, who has owned Revive! Trafford for 11 years, said: “I like doing a great job and I don’t like to be beaten. I just work very hard and I get results.”

Last but not least the award for Outstanding Service went to Huw Jones, who runs Revive! Reading.

“It’s all about having a pleasant and professional attitude and doing a great job,” said Huw, who founded Revive! Reading at the beginning of last year.

Recently announced as an IMI Awards accredited training centre, Revive! also took the opportunity to present the first tranche of NCP certificates to franchise owners who have completed their accreditation which continues to be rolled out throughout the network.

Mark Llewellyn, Managing Director Revive! said: “This year’s conference was a huge success and a spectacular event. While external awards are very nice it is important that we recognise each other for extra achievement. This helps to strengthen the bond between us and that gives us such an advantage over our competitors. Each year Revive! grows and we see more and more exciting opportunities arise. The conference gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase some of these opportunities.”

“Good luck to all our franchise owners for 2011 and here’s to an excellent team!”
