Young Enterprise, with more than 40 years experience, is the UK’s leading business and enterprise education charity. It aims to inspire young people to learn and succeed in enterprise and aspires to give all young people the opportunity to gain personal experience of how business works. Young Enterprise UK is made up of 12 regional organisations and operates through support from the business community and the government.

16 teams of local business people are taking part in ‘Who wants to be an entrepreneur’ a two week fundraising challenge for Young Enterprise, consisting of three different events. After each challenge the team leader has to go forward to David Kilburn, aka Sir Allen, for their verdict – fired or hired.

Recognition Express donated t-shirts to “The Village People”, named after the local hotel home to their team meetings, have been raising money through a Valentines themed raffle and will be selling balloons this Saturday at St. Stephens’s shopping centre in order to raise the most money and stay in the competition.

Jan Chidley, owner of Recognition Express Hull & East Riding the UK’s top supplier of corporate gifts, signs, badges and clothing, said: “It is a pleasure to have been asked to help towards such a brilliant cause. I think it is excellent that young people can have a go at trying their hand at business. I wish The Village People all the best with their fundraiser and hope they survive Sir Allen’s elimination process.”
