Last week, énergie Fitness group revealed its new signature gym training concept, called thé Yard.

Sheldon, Birmingham is the destination for énergie’s new high intensity training ‘playground.’ Launched in conjunction with the opening of énergie Fitness, it will become part of the fitness franchise’s exciting rebrand for énergie and Fit4less clubs across the UK.

Set behind an urban-style fence, thé Yard consists of a circuit-based studio with individual suspension training stations, sprint lanes, a dual-level plyometric platform and a boxing zone with punch bags.

Created by énergie’s central Training and Development team, thé Yard brings a series of all-inclusive classes to transform the way members train. This will and significantly diversify the énergie gym experience. Designed as group sessions, thé Yard classes combine a high intensity, fun and challenging routine – using top of the range equipment from Hatton Boxing and Jigsaw Fitness. The two key classes are:

Fighting FIT: The group’s signature boutique class experience uses simple boxing combinations, plyometric exercises and suspension training moves to maximise your effort levels in an ascending pyramid timing format.

Double HIT: Working for no more than 40 seconds at a time, we incorporate speedy boxing combinations and multi-muscle moves to HIIT your body and heart rate where you need it the most.

As part of thé Yard, members can track their real-time workout data and fitness progression via the MYZONE® Belt which connects to both the MYZONE® App (iOS and android) and the énergie Fitness App (iOS and android).

Head of Fitness, Training and Innovation at énergie Central, Ian Rushbury said: “This motivational training tool keeps you on top of your game during every workout, enforcing an element of competition between each class participant to encourage maximum performance.”

On Thursday 3 August, énergie Fitness Sheldon revealed its new gym and thé Yard to the public. With 1500 memberships sold during pre-sale alone, Sheldon’s 9,000sqft club brings a spacious and stylish fully equipped and staffed gym to the area.
