We have belief in our franchise model, all you need to do is believe you can do it too. Our Managing Director went from strength to strength when she woke up at 25 years old to find half her face completely paralysed from ‘Bell’s Palsy’. The months went by and she realised she would never fully recover, so what did she do… she went on to train at drama school.

Despite their initial rejection, she progressed to a professional acting career, filming for BBC’s ‘Waterloo Road’ and Kelloggs, and playing Lady Macbeth in a tour to hundreds of schools! In 2002 she began training to teach and went on to write a course for ‘The Manchester College’ becoming one of the fastest progressing tutors. She resigned in 2005, on the same day she was offered two promotions at separate colleges, but her passion at that time was to bring Footlights to life.

Since the she has achieved so much: developed a franchise model, recognised by the British Franchise Association; won four awards for her business acumen and contribution to the community; written four plays for schools and one, ‘And then You Kissed Me’, which was performed professionally at The Lowry, Manchester.
