"In September 2018 I was diagnosed with a life changing neurological condition and I was off work for 3 months. I soon realised that I would not be able to continue with the work I was doing and needed something more flexible and less stressful. I have owned franchises in the past and ran non franchised businesses so it made sense to start looking at franchises again. However I was not prepared to spend £10,000 on one. That's when I came across Snack Aid and Jim. It ticked all my boxes. So after a few telephone calls and me visiting Snack Aid offices I decided to join and put my first boxes out in January 2019. Things were running smoothly for the first few months and I had built up a call list of 250 boxes out and being serviced. Unfortunately I had a relapse with the neurological condition in August 2019 and couldn't work for 5 weeks. But, that's the beauty of this work. It is totally flexible and I was able to cope with the 5 week break without some boss breathing down my neck. I returned to work part time working 3 days spread over 5 days, so basically doing half days and cut my calls down to 150 of the better venues.
