Former Sales Director of a successful solar energy business, Simon Baggaley, has taken the leap to fulfil his lifelong vision of ‘being his own boss’.

Primarily, because he really enjoys autonomy and being in charge of his own destiny in respect of business performance. “I love working in small teams and now I will have the chance to build a team around me. Franchising itself interested me to get the benefit of a Franchisor’s experience and to hit the ground running”. Simon has always had an enthusiasm for hot tubs and the luxury garden leisure lifestyle. By collaborating with Award Leisure, the UK’s only luxury outdoor leisure Franchise, Simon has been able to achieve his dream whilst working in an industry he is passionate about.

Simon was attracted to Award Leisure because of his love for hot tubs and he firmly believed that to make a success out of a business you should be passionate about what you do – so was actively looking for a business opportunity in the hot tub and spa industry.

Simon commented saying; “There were other opportunities in the industry that I considered, but it wasn’t just the fact that the Award Leisure prospect was a franchise that made me decide; I had done extensive research into products and competitors and firmly believe that the Award Leisure business model and product range is the best in the industry’.”

Having been employed for over 30 years, Simon admits it was a daunting decision to finally follow his aspirations and commit to owning and building a new business. With the support of Award Leisure and his loving family and friends, the future looks bright and he is very excited about the year ahead and his business prospects.

Simon expressed: “I have had excellent support and engagement from Award Leisure throughout the process. I get the feeling I’m part of a team working towards a common goal – opening a new outlet in a new territory for mutual benefit. I think they are as excited as me about it! With yearly sales projections of 30 units, Simon has an ambitious yet achievable personal target of selling 50 units this year! Having found a fantastic showroom in a popular, busy location, Simon will be smashing his forecasted sales in no time.
