Watch: BBC South Today report on franchising, featuring bfa CEO Pip Wilkins

Three weeks ago, the British Franchise Association (bfa) launched the 2018 bfa NatWest Franchise Survey. The findings were incredibly positive, and from that there has been significant external exposure on the franchising sector at large, with a mixture of interviews with bfa CEO Pip Wilkins and case studies from franchisees with inspiring stories.

Part of the external exposure includes two separate reports ran on BBC South Today, the local news service for people living in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, West Sussex, Dorset, Berkshire, Surrey, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, as well as parts of Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

The clip in this article includes bfa CEO Pip Wilkins taking about the fundamentals of franchising, along with franchisee Mary Wood from The Detective Project and Lucy Kyte, franchisee at Oscar Pet Foods.

There was also a report which swapped out Lucy’s story for that of Anjana and Gayan Weerakoddy, franchisees for Card Connection Oxfordshire. People from Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas watched the same clips of Pip Wilkins and Mary Wood and also learned of Anjana’s and Gayan’s story.

So far, other external exposure has included an interview with bfa CEP Pip Wilkins and Esquires Coffee franchisee Steven Prime on Radio 4’s You and Yours programme, as well as survey mentions in Forbes, Daily Mail, Daily Express and even Nasdaq.com. Numerous business titles and franchise medias have also picked it up.
