Just Regional was the brainchild of Lee Todd who, with nearly 20 years’ experience with a regional newspaper as sales manager, saw a gap in the market for magazines catering for individual towns – but realised that gap would need to be plugged with a highly professional business.

He saw that towns were hungry for news relevant to the area and advertisers wanted cost-effective means to hit their target market.

Lee took the giant leap of faith and resigned his job seven years ago to undertake his dream with the first publication of Just Aylsham, his hometown.

Due to the success of the business and the straightforward structure of the model, Lee is now looking for like-minded people who see the value in genuine hyperlocal publishing to partner with and expand the brand throughout the UK.

Just Regional – helping businesses reach their customers:

Advertising: We cater for local, regional and national companies looking to reach a specific area to sell their wares, from the local independent butcher in that town to the city-based theatre looking to cover the main towns in the region. Companies can advertise in their own town’s magazine or those wishing for greater coverage can place the same advertisement in all the publications at a cost competitive with the larger regional newspapers and magazines.

Readership: The population looks forward to the monthly publications where they can read articles about people they know and at the same time have a diary of events for their town. The magazine also provides them with adverts of local companies they can support, such as the local butcher or electrician.

Distribution: We have our own team of distributors, carefully managed to ensure that every household of 50,000 that we service receives their monthly edition. This is a comfort to our clients as it means we control distribution in house.

Just Regional – training

Our extensive training programme will ensure that all franchisees learn all aspects of running a successful Just Regional franchise by attending an intensive tailored training course at our head office. Practical hands-on training will be given with each franchisee’s own clients once their business is launched.

No previous experience is required as the comprehensive training will ensure that within a short period of time you will be in a position to run your own Just Regional franchise, knowing that you have a dedicated team in the background ready and willing to help and support you.

The only restriction is the limit of your imagination, motivation and desire to succeed. Every franchisee, as part of the package, will receive for reference our operations manual covering all aspects of the business.
